Church at Home

As Bill dozed off under his Sunday morning newspaper, he realized his “church at home” idea was probably going to send him and his family straight to Hell.

Scripture Defended

Notice how he brings it back around to Gods authority every time.

A good lesson for us.

Buddah Boy

RATANPUR, Nepal — The teenage boy revered as a reincarnation of Buddha sat silently in the jungle as he blessed his devotees Wednesday with a light tap on the head, which they consider the touch of the divine.

"I got a chance to see God today," Bishnu Maya Khadka, a housewife, said after receiving Bamjan's blessing Wednesday. "They say he is Buddha, but for me he is just God."

If buddah attained the state of enlightenment would he need to be reincarnated?

Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not.

Liberals Attack Congregation During Sunday Worship

"On Sunday morning, amidst worshiping congregants and following unifying prayers that our President-elect be granted wisdom as he prepares to lead our nation through difficult global, social and economic challenges, the Michigan left declared open war on peaceful church goers.

They did it with banners, chants, blasphemy, by storming the pulpit, by vandalizing the church facility, by potentially defiling the building with lewd, public, sex acts and by intentionally forcing physical confrontations with worshipers."

For people who say they are seeking tolerance they sure are not very tolerant.

Required Srevice?

Snips

"Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel for president-elect Barack Obama reveals plans for mandatory induction for all young adults into a civilian "force."

"He would "require" all middle school through college students to participate in community service programs."

"Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year,"

"Somewhere between the age of 18 to 25 you will do three months of training. You can do it at some point in your college time," he said. "There can be nothing wrong with all Americans having a joint, similar experience of what we call civil defense training or civil service."

Is This What Jesus Would Do?

Why doesn't he go into the hospitals and heal people?

Because he would be arrested for assault and battery.

False Prophet 2

This video shows how similar things happen in other world religions.

How do these displays stand up to these scriptures?

1Cr 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance (self-control): against such there is no law.

2Pe 1:6 And to knowledge temperance (self-control); and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

Phl 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ

2Cr 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Phl 4:8-9 ¶ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

False Prophet 1

How does this fit with this verse?

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Is this how Jesus behaved? What about Paul or Peter?

Watch.

Funny

A little boy opened the big family bible.

He was fascinated, as he fingered through the old pages.
Suddenly, something fell out of the Bible.

He picked up the object and looked at it.

What he saw was an old leaf that had been pressed in between the pages.

“Mama, look what I found”, the boy called out. ”

What have you got there, dear?”

With astonishment in the young boy’s voice, he answered, “I think it’s Adam’s underwear!”

Question

(Click on picture for larger , clearer picture)

The world wants us to go with the crowd but we are to think and to warn others.

The crowd will be wrong.

Mat 7:13
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

We are to question to make sure of the truth.

Act 17:11
They received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Do not "simply accept" teaching without resistance.
